London Electronics recently supplied a high-brightness 12-inch Fusion Series large digit display to a major aggregate storage facility in Sweden, providing clear real-time silo level indication in challenging outdoor conditions.
The customer required a rugged solution capable of operating reliably in temperatures down to -25°C, while remaining visible from over 150 metres away across loading and operational areas.
The Challenge
The site needed a dependable outdoor display capable of withstanding snow, ice, dust and vibration, whilst integrating directly with an existing 4–20 mA level transmitter. Smaller conventional indicators were not visible enough for safe and efficient operation across the plant.
