Luxury Bus Launch

Our displays are used for all sorts of purposes but it’s not often they are made for a photoshoot! As part of Go North East’s bus upgrade, we were given less than a week to build, test and ship an enormous countdown clock!!

The display’s digits are 16″ high (around 400mm) and made using red daylight viewing LEDs which means they are visible in daylight up to 200m away. To keep the display working at its best and ready for the camera, it was sealed to IP65 all around to make it weatherproof.

The team at Hexham set a 24hr clock to countdown to mark the launch of the luxury new buses. They headed out with the countdown clock and visited Hexham Abbey and Newcastle helping to create a real buzz the day before they went into service.”
