Enclosure Materials

Our displays are enclosed in varying materials, but the main 3 materials we use are 316L Stainless Steel, Polycarbonate and uPVC. Each has its own benefits of use.

The enclosures of our INTUITIVE panel meters are made from polycarbonate. This material is lightweight and strong, providing excellent protection for the boards within. It has good impact resistance and crucially is a good electrical insulator whilst being fire resistant.

The enclosures of our FUSION and TITAN displays are made from either uPVC with an acrylic lens or 316L Stainless Steel. Due to the potential external location of our displays, uPVC was selected due to its UV resistance which increases the longevity of the displays. Additionally, it is strong and fire resistant.

Some of our FUSION and TITAN displays are located in food preparation areas or marine environments, in which case the enclosure is made from 316L Stainless Steel. The low carbon content of this type of stainless steel produces a strong metal which is rust resistant. This gives it a low contamination risk in food preparation areas.
