Heater element monitor
The electric heating element monitor, model GL-HEM is ideal for applications where you may be using electrical heating elements, which may degrade over time.
The monitor permanently checks the heater element's resistance and creates and alarm if it rises or falls to a level outside the limits you set.
This gives early warning of expected heater element failure, and allows you time to plan the heater change into a scheduled maintenance session.
Unique features of our monitor allow you to use it in PID loops or other switched power arrangements, which other methods, such as simple current monitoring, would be unable to cope with.

This monitor dynamically checks the true relative resistance of the element, during heating, so is largely unaffected by power voltage variations, pulsed power regulation etc.
Auxiliary power 95-265 V AC or 11-30V DC
2A 250V rated solid-state alarm relays, failsafe (normally energised, de-energise on trip)
DIN Rail mounting, only 22.5mm wide.
