Factory Clocks, count-up timers, count-down timers
Are you looking for a reliable way to accurately display the precise time to all your workforce?
The challenge... A common issue in large factories is that staff clock in and out at different times, depending on which clock they can see. If all the clocks in your factory aren't synchronised, there are likely to be arguments about arrival and departure times.
And, of course, there must be no question about the accuracy of your factory clocks, they must be precise.
The solutions... We have developed several simple systems which synchronise one or more clocks to either a precision internal reference, to an external atomic reference, or to your computer server. This allows clocks to be located in rooms where no reliable radio or satellite signal can be received.
1. The precision internal reference
This is the simplest system, where the clock includes an internal precision reference. This has a typical worst case error of 2 minutes per year. It can automatically correct for summer and winter time changes. One display can be used as a master, feeding up to 32 synchronised slaves around the factory.
2. The atomic system... This consists of a small ASR-GPS satellite receiver, powered by the displays, which you can mount on the roof or on a wall. This then sends an RS422 data signal to each clock in the factory, ensuring they are all prefectly synchronised to the correct time.
3. The Server synchronised system...
This offers more flexibility, but your time accuracy depends on your server's clock reference. This system is ideal if you need to trigger alarms or sounders to signal the start and end of work periods, breaks etc. An application on a PC lets you create a simple schedule.
The two main application windows are the Event Entry screen and the Scheduler.

The FUSION is a highly precise, stable, flexible and easy to use large digit clock / timer display, and our top large digit seller, for both display-only and display + output applications.
You can choose from digit sizes of 57mm, 102mm, 150mm, 200mm, 300mm and 400mm do suit the viewing distance in your application. We have a digit size selector which may help you to choose the best digit size for your application.
It has a number of useful plug-in options which make it ideal in many control and monitoring applications.
The front panel buttons can be locked, or can be operated by remotely wiring 4 pushbuttons to the display.

If you need to be able to read the display in a reflection, for example in a heads-up display system, you can switch it to display a mirrored image.
Interesting fact
The FUSION was designed to combine the benefits of our three most popular products...
- The INTUITIVE (High precision, easy to use panel meter)
- The 1700 Series (Large digits and sealed enclosure, ideal for use outside and in large industrial environments)
- The Easy Reader (Economical large digit display family)
We designed it, we build it, we know it inside out, so you can count on us for first class support.
Plus...
We are often asked to combine several fusion displays of various functions into one common display. See here for examples. Please contact us if you would like us to quote for a system to suit your requirements.

Clock and timer examples
Examples of custom made large display using elapsed timers, counters, days since last accident, atomic clock and atomic calendar.
A large, busy airport in the UK wanted to be sure passengers would have no reason not to know the correct time.
They commissioned London Electronics to design and build these very large, high visibility blue clocks, and to include atomic timing synchronisation.
Passengers can easily see the time from up to 130 metres (400 feet) away.
This display sits outside near the reception area.
Time and Temperature displays
Outdoor time and temperature displays are ideal if you want to draw attention to your building.
They are particularly valuable inside factories, where the whole workforce can see the exact time (all clocks synchronised to precise time) and temperature with the option of adding humidity too.
These displays are sealed for excellent reliability in washdown areas, high humidity, dusty or cold environments, and come in a range of digit sizes to suit the viewing distance you need in your factory.
Ideal in clean rooms, food preparation lines, steelworks, foundries etc.
