The INT2-S4 is a low cost yet highly flexible and easy to use 1/8 DIN remote display, which can be used to show BCD data. It normally accepts serial data ASCII input, such as RS232, RS422, RS485 etc., but with the PSC1 BCD to serial converter it offers a number of important advantages. These include:-
* Simpler wiring saves installation time
* Cabling costs are reduced. Only one 4 core cable!
* Reliability is improved
It has a number of useful plug-in options which make it ideal for use in many control and monitoring applications.
Parallel BCD to ASCII converter details...

This convertor takes BCD data from a PLC and converts it to RS422, to simplify wiring and reduce installation costs.
For example, a parallel PLC output representing 6 digits of BCD would have 24 data lines, a common and a strobe.
If you want to send this data to a remote device, your cabling costs could be high. With the PSC1 you'd only need a 4 core screened cable to the remote device.
